One of the initial questions we routinely ask our participants is, "what most influenced your decision to participate?" The following are some of the responses we have received:

  • “I thought there was nothing to loose and everything to gain… and I like new experiences.”
  • “The fact that I no longer recognize this stressed person in the mirror.”
  • “A desire to heal.”
  • “Feeling like all my questions were answered and knowing I am in good hands.”
  • “Sound answers to my questions and a chance toward better health.”
  • “Genuine concern from staff.”
  • “Opportunity to [obtain] free medication to see if it would help and improve my life.”
  • “Hoping to find anything that will help me and others to stop smoking.”
  • “Congenial and kind receptionist and nurse.”
  • “1) People like Judy and Christine; 2) Years of problems due to disorder; 3) Very positive experience one other time, wonderful people and possibility for improvement.”
  • “A professional recommendation of your organization and Dr. Heiser, the bio qualifications on your website.”
  • “Lack of success with other medications.”

Once people complete their participation in one of PRI’s programs, we routinely send out postcards asking for their comments. The following are some of the responses we have received.

  • “Awesome experience and I haven’t smoked for two years. My-Linh is excellent.”
  • “Dr. Heiser was always available for me to see. Patti was encouraging and supportive as well as flexible for me to work with. I thank PRI as the study has changed and given me new life!! I am [now] a NON-SMOKER.”
  • “What a great experience. After 27 years I stopped smoking, thanks to the support of the great staff.”
